Day 1

Arrival

Campo Grande
Your guide meets you at Campo Grande airport and transfers you to your hotel, located close to the Avenue of the Blue-and-Yellow Macaws.
If you reach the hotel before sunset, enjoy the world’s finest viewing of Blue-and-Yellow and Redbellied Macaws. Check in, dinner on your own.
Overnight in Campo Grande.

DAY 2,

Campo Grande – Bonito

Breakfast Included

  • Enchanting sunrise visit to Avenue of the Blue-andYellow Macaws, frequently with cameo appearances by simultaneously darling and cheeky, hyperactive Coatis.
  • Mouth-watering breakfast buffet.
  • Check-out by 9 am and drive 4 h to lodge in Bonito, en route spying the largest bird of the Americas, the ostrich-like Greater Rhea.
  • Leave at 2 or 3 pm to drive 20-40 min in search of the bizarre yet beautiful Giant Anteaters. You normally discover 5-10 of these systematic termite-mound
  • destroyers, who terrify even the mighty Jaguar.

DAY 3,

Bonito & Jardim

  • After a hearty breakfast, drive 1 h to Macaw Canyon, which is simply the world’s most spectacular location for observing and photographing rainbow-colored macaws at close range.
  • There are 60 of these fabulous birds living in and around this deep sandstone canyon.
  • Drive back to hotel and lunch on you.
  • In the afternoon, drive 20-40 minutes to search again for Giant Anteaters, once again expecting 5-10 of these incredible creatures.

DAY 4,

Bonito – Campo Grande

  • Breakfast, then leave by 730 am and drive 50 minutes to a mesmerizing morning of fish observation snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the
  • Rio da Prata. This site has been voted by Brazilians as the number one ecotourism experience in the entire country.
  • If you love the spectacular macaws more than snorkeling with incredibly tame fish, you may elect to spend the afternoon at Macaw Canyon, where you will enjoy the birds with the light coming from the west and with different cliff backgrounds.
  • Lunch included at the Rio da Prata fish snorkel headquarters, and then drive 3.5 h to Campo Grande
  • If arrive before dark, visit Blue-and-Yellow Macaws again or the Coatis.

DAY 5,

Campo Grande

Breakfast Included

  • Breakfast in the hotel, and depending on the time of your flight departure from Campo Grande, you can repeat Macaw and Coati observation in the first hour or two of the morning.
  • If no time, then go straight to airport to fly out to your next destination.
  • In case a late flight, day use at hotel close to the airport until departure time.
