Enchanting sunrise visit to the Avenue of the Blue-and-Yellow Macaws, often accompanied by the playful and cheeky Coatis.

Enjoy a mouth-watering breakfast buffet, then check out by 9 am for a 4-hour drive to the lodge in Bonito, spotting the ostrich-like Greater Rhea—the largest bird in the Americas—along the way.

At 2 or 3 pm, set out on a 20–40 minute drive in search of the fascinating Giant Anteaters. Typically, you may encounter 5–10 of these unique termite-mound destroyers, known to intimidate even the mighty Jaguar.

Day 3

Bonito & Jardim Breakfast Included

After a hearty breakfast, drive 1 hour to Macaw Canyon, one of the world’s most spectacular locations for observing and photographing rainbow-colored macaws up close. Around 60 of these stunning birds live in and around the deep sandstone canyon.

Return to the hotel for lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, take a 20–40 minute drive to search again for Giant Anteaters, with the chance of spotting 5–10 of these incredible creatures.

Overnight in Bonito.

Day 4

Bonito – Campo Grande Breakfast & Lunch Included

After breakfast, depart by 7:30 am for a 50-minute drive to the crystal-clear waters of the Rio da Prata for a mesmerizing snorkeling experience. This site has been voted by Brazilians as the number one ecotourism activity in the entire country. For those who prefer the spectacular macaws over snorkeling with incredibly tame fish, the afternoon offers the option to visit Macaw Canyon, where you can enjoy stunning views of the birds in the warm afternoon light, set against dramatic cliff backgrounds. Lunch will be served at the Rio da Prata snorkeling headquarters before beginning the 3.5-hour drive back to Campo Grande. If you arrive before dark, you may once again see the Blue-and-Yellow Macaws or spot playful Coatis. Overnight stay in Campo Grande.

Day 5

Campo Grande Breakfast Included

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and depending on your flight departure time from Campo Grande, you can spend the first hour or two of the morning observing Macaws and Coatis again. If time is limited, head directly to the airport for your next destination. For late flights, you may use the hotel during the day until departure.
