DAY 1,

ARRIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO.

Once you arrive in Rio, you will be met at the airport by one of our guides who will take you to your hotel in ARENA LEME in the heart of Copacabana. Stay at your chosen hotel for four nights. (local taxes and breakfast included).

DAY 2,

FULL DAY TOUR OF RIO DE JANEIRO & CARNIVAL EXPERIENCE

Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and will take you to explore Rio de Janeiro. Every year, over a million visitors go to the famous Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf Mountain), an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its name was given due to the resemblance to the traditional shape of a refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. At Urca Hill, passengers take the second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf, which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city, including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Hill, and Rio’s downtown. The Carnaval Experience offers a guided tour of the history of Samba and Carnival in Cidade do Samba. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the artistry and imagination of Carnival by exploring the backstage, the people working and the preparations for the parade. During the tour, visitors can witness the process of construction and production of floats and more than 3.000 costumes for the show. This visit includes a guided tour to the factory of the 2022nd Carnival champion Samba School, Grande Rio. The tour also provides visitors with a chance to dress up in authentic parade costumes, experience the samba dance and enjoy a delicious Caipirinha welcome drink.

DAY 3,

HALF DAY TOUR OF CHRIST THE REDEEMER

Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and will take you to explore Rio de Janeiro. It is frequently said that God is Brazilian. The real truth is unknown, but at least a piece of him lies in the Rio statue, Christ o Redentor. Towering above the marvelous city with open arms extending almost 30 meters, since 1931, this figure has been one of the most famous symbols of Rio. It stands 100 ft tall, visible night and day from most of the city. After enjoying the visit of this ion of Rio de Janeiro your guide will take you back to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is for you to enjoy your hotel or just relax at the Coapacabana beach, an iconic beach of all times.

DAY 4,

BIKING TOUR IN THE VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS OF RIO (half day)

“Wonderful City” is how Rio de Janeiro is affectionately called, as it is a blessed city with natural beauties that compose indescribable landscapes. Not only is its beauty amazing, but its population makes it even better, as “cariocas”, how they are called, have a unique way of life that involves good music, cheerful dance, exciting sports, arts manifestations, cultural diversity, and contact with nature. There are many natural parks, waterfalls, lagoons, and beaches that are used as meeting points to practice sports, chat, and relax in the most beautiful natural landscapes. Rio has a strong culture and traditions that can be experienced everywhere, in every meal and every street corner. The most known and unmissable marks are Redeem Christ, Sugarloaf Mountain, Maracanã (the heart of Brazilian soccer), and Sambódromo (where the carnival parade happens). In this tour, we will visit Flamengo beach, the historic center, and Lapa to see the Selaron staircase. On the way back, we cycle through Flamengo Park and along Copacabana Beach.

DAY 5,

CARIOCA COOKING CLASS EXPERIENCE (half day)

“The Cook in Rio Cooking Class is a half-day cooking class hosted by the cooking instructor, Simone Almeida and focuses on exploring various Brazilian flavours. Visitors will learn a mix of recipes and discover exotic ingredients and techniques to prepare authentic Brazilian cuisine. There are two lessons available, namely the Seafood Moqueca class and the Feijoada class, both are the most traditional dishes of Brazil.

DAY 6,

VISIT TO PETROPOLIS (Full day)

Take a trip through time to this stately mountain town, which once was the summer residence of Brazil’s royal family and is still sometimes referred to as Brazil’s ‘Imperial City’. Set in a scenic Alpine valley, Petropolis’ key attractions include the Imperial Museum, formerly
the summer palace of the second Brazilian emperor and now housing an array of opulent royal relics; the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, famous for the ‘God’s Finger (Dedo de Deus) rock formation, which resembles an index finger raised to the sky; and the Rua Teresa, Brazil’s number one retail destination, where keen shoppers can trawl a wealth of clothing stores offering quality goods at excellent prices.

DAY 7,

TIJUCA PARK (half day tour)

Lace up your hiking boots and venture deep into the heart of Tijuca National Park along its network of scenic hiking trails. Wind your way through dense foliage, marvel at cascading waterfalls, and breathe in the fresh air as you immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Discover iconic landmarks nestled within the park, including the towering granite peaks of Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita, offering panoramic views of the city and coastline below. Admire the majestic beauty of the Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, perched atop Corcovado Mountain. Tijuca National Park is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species found nowhere else on earth. Keep your eyes peeled for colorful birds, playful monkeys, and exotic plant species as you explore the park’s lush vegetation.

DAY 8,

RIO DE JANEIRO – IGUAZU

Your guide will see you at the lobby of your hotel and will take you to the airport in time for your flight to Iguazu. Once you arrive to Iguazu your Guide will take you to visit the Brazilian side of the falls. The tour goes towards the Iguaçu National Park, one of the largest vegetation reserves in Brazil. Arrive at the visitors’ center where passengers transfer to a bus for a tour inside the park and up to the beginning of the boardwalks located at the edge of the cliffs of the Iguazu River, which extend almost a kilometer. During the walk is possible to see the San Martín Island, and be amazed by the sight of the waterfalls of Bossetti, San Martín and Three Musketeers. The observation deck found towards the end of the walk offers a unique view of Devil’s Throat from a distance of just 150 meters away. This amazing scenery is enhanced by the constant formation of rainbows. The visit ends next to the Salto Floriano fall where there is a small store with access to the panoramic elevator that is at the visitor’s disposal. At the end of the tour, a long stairway leads to the area where visitors are transferred back to the hotel. The daily tours are scheduled preferably in the mornings due to the position of the sun over the waterfalls. Your Guide will take you to your hotel MERCURE IRU or similar. after you finish your tour. Your stay is for two nights in one river view room. (taxes and breakfast included).

Day 9,

ARGENTINEAN SIDE OF THE FALLS

Depart from the hotel to visit the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, located within the Iguazu National Park. With an extension of 67.000 hectares the park has been declared a Natural Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO. The Falls are integrated by 275 waterfalls that fall from an average altitude of seventy meters. The starting point is the “Central Station”, from which visitors can choose to take the train that goes to “Falls Station” or the one that goes to “Devil’s Throat Station”. From these points it is possible to carry out diverse excursions: The superior walk is a walk of 800 meters on footbridges, elevated over the surface of the terrain so as not to obstruct or/frighten the fauna. On this walk, visitors can observe the waterfalls from the upper part of the Dos Hermanas, Bosetti, Bernabé Méndez, M´Bigua Falls, among others. It lasts for an hour and the range of difficulty is low, there are no stairs. The inferior walk, is a 1,600 meters walk on footbridges elevated over the surface of the terrain, where visitors can see the two sisters, Alvar Nuñez, San Martín, and Bosetti falls and the Rock de la Bella Vista. Visitors can also have a panoramic view of the Devil’s Throat and the Río Iguazú Inferior Canyon. This walk lasts for two hours and the range of difficulty is moderate, with stairs. The Devil’s Throat excursion starts at the “Devil’s Throat Station” to go walking through the footbridges for about 1,200 meters which allow the visitor to enjoy the view of the most important waterfall of the Falls. The excursion lasts two hours, and the range of difficulty is low, there are no stairs. The return is done by train up to the Visitors Center. Once the excursion ends, return to the hotel.

GREAT ADVENTURE EXCURSION

This excursion is a thrilling adventure both inside Iguazu National Park of as well as on the waters
of the Inferior Iguazu River. It is divided in two parts: First ,on board semi rigid Zodiacs boats get
close to the foot of the San Martín, Bosetti, Three Musketeers waterfalls and the Devil’s Throat
canyon. Then sail down the rapids of the river to Puerto Macuco, three kilometers from the
falls.The second part we enter the jungle by the Yacaratiá trail in trucks specially designed for this
environment for an interpretation of the flora and fauna of the area. This excursion is designed to
experience and feel the Iguazu Falls. Visitors may take the boat excursion first and then take the
walk through the jungle or vice-versa. Departures are scheduled every hour from the Jungle
Explorer Company’s Central Station or from the pier located across the San Martín Island.
This trip is restricted to the following people:
-Children under 12 years old.
-Pregnant women.
-People with osteoporosis, neck, back conditions or surgery.
-People with health conditions or surgery.
-People with COPD or neurological condition or surgery.
-And any person with any physical, cognitive and/or sensorial disability unable to react in a nautical emergency in rapids of the lower Iguazú River (*)

DAY 10,

IGUAZU – MANAUS

Your guide will take you on a private transfer to the airport in time for your flight back to Rio de Janeiro with connection back home.
