Itinerary
7 Nov: Welcome to Ivato Airport – Transfer to Hotel
Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit the capital and explore the island. In the evening, return to the hotel and relax after a long flight. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.
8 Nov: Antananarivo – Manambato (259 km, approx. 6h 53min)
After breakfast, drive to Manambato. Enjoy the scenic green mountains and lush plant life along the way. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.
9 Nov: Manambato – Ankanin Ny Nofy
After breakfast, explore the town of Manambato. Enjoy lunch at the hotel and then take a motorboat ride along the Pangalane Canal to Hotel Pangalanes Jungle Nofy near Ankanin Ny Nofy. During the boat journey, observe local Betsimisaraka architecture and beautiful natural landscapes. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.
Manambato
Relax by the sea with Manambato’s soft sandy beach and warm climate. Enjoy a short boat trip on Rasoabe Lake. The lake is named after a legend involving betrayal and revenge. Manambato also serves as a gateway to the Pangalanes Lakes.
Ankanin Ny Nofy
The Palmarium Reserve, also known as Ankanin Ny Nofy (“The Nest of Dreams”), lies on 50 hectares along the Pangalanes Channel. Discover about ten species of lemurs, including Indri-Indri, Aye-Aye, and Sifaka, living freely. Encounter rare fauna and flora such as orchids, carnivorous plants, and exotic palm varieties.
10 Nov: Manambato – Tamatave (95.2 km, approx. 2h 47min)
After breakfast, an off-road adventure awaits on the route to Tamatave. Overnight at a 4-star hotel.
11 Nov: Tamatave – Mahambo – Soanierana Ivongo (163 km, approx. 5h 30min)
After breakfast, enjoy a beach walk in Tamatave. Continue to Soanierana Ivongo, where a boat will take you to Sainte-Marie Island. Discover breathtaking coastal landscapes along the way.
Mahambo
Mahambo is a quiet village nestled between Tamatave and Sainte-Marie. It features a scenic beach, a lagoon, and surf-friendly waves, making it a favored destination for water sports.
12 Nov: Soanierana Ivongo – Sainte Marie
After breakfast, take a boat to Sainte-Marie Island. Upon arrival, relax and settle in. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.
13–15 Nov: Diving in Sainte Marie
Enjoy three days of diving adventures. Explore a natural underwater aquarium teeming with coral reefs, colorful fish, sea turtles, and more. Lunch at the hotel and leisure time in the afternoon. You may also explore the center of Sainte-Marie Island. Overnight in a 4-star hotel each night.
16 Nov: Sainte Marie – Antananarivo – Europe
