Day 1:

ARRIVAL IN CUSCO, THE ANCIENT CAPITAL OF THE INCA EMPIRE (TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL)

Welcome to the beautiful imperial city of Cusco. Upon arrival at the airport, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to the hotel. Along the way, you will be able to appreciate great attractions such as the monument to Pachacutec and the Qoricancha, an imposing construction that beautifies this city. Upon arrival at the hotel, you can have a coca tea, and we will have a talk about your itinerary before starting the tour.

City Tour in Cusco City (exploring the Inca city)

CITY TOUR:

We will begin our adventure in the majestic Plaza de Armas, visiting the Cathedral and the Qoricancha, or Temple of the Sun. We will then continue exploring the archaeological sites located near the city of Cusco, which include Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. At the end of the tour, we will return to Cusco.

Day 2:

THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS Enjoy a magical experience

We will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. Starting our adventure, we will reach our first point, the Taray viewpoint, where we will observe the Sacred Valley; then we will head towards the archaeological complex of Pisaq. We will pass along the banks of the Vilcanota River until we reach Urubamba, where we will stop for an exquisite buffet lunch of various dishes. Continuing on, we will visit Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca villages, and have time to explore the wonderful archaeological complex. At the end, we will go to the Ollantaytambo station to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night.

Day 3:

EXPLORING MACHUPICCHU (A Wonderful Day Full of History)

After breakfast we will depart by tourist bus from Aguas Calientes towards the wonder where we will appreciate the green landscape of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We will have a guided tour of this magical place for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, visiting the Temple of the Three Windows, the sundial, among others. Depending on the time of return and according to the guide’s indication, we will have time to take photos. After that, we will board the bus to go down to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have time to have lunch on our own. In the afternoon, at the indicated time, we will approach the train station and begin our return trip to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the bus that will take us back to Cusco.

Day 4:

MOUNTAIN OF COLORS (An Instagrammable experience)

We leave very early at approximately 04:30 am, heading to the Cusipata area where we will enjoy our breakfast, then continue to the “Phulawasipata” parking area where our walk begins, with an average duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, our guide will provide an explanation of the place, and we will have the opportunity to take the best photos and spend free time contemplating the mountain and the snowcapped peaks around—a truly unique experience. Finally, we return along the same route to reach our vehicle, return to the restaurant to enjoy our lunch, and then head back to the city of Cusco.

Day 5:

HUMAN LAGOON (Getting to know the Turquoise Lagoon)

Our experience begins very early at approximately 4:30 am as we head to the northern part of the city. We will arrive in the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy breakfast and receive an introductory talk about the day’s adventure. Next, we continue to the Soraypampa parking area, where our walk to the base of the snow-capped mountain begins. The average walking time is about 1 hour and 45 minutes, though it may be shorter depending on the pace of each participant. Upon reaching the summit, our guide will provide an explanation of the area. You will have time to take photos and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks—a truly unique experience. We will then return along the same route to reach our vehicle, head back to the restaurant for lunch, and continue our journey back to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm. Later, at around 9:00 pm, we will approach the Cusco terminal to board the bus to Puno.

Day 6:

EXPERIENTIAL EXPERIENCE – LAKE TITICACA (Uros and Amantani)

Our transfer will pick us up from the bus terminal and take us to the hotel. From there, we will head to the dock to begin our tour. The first stop is the Uros Floating Islands, where we will learn about their history, daily activities, customs, and, most importantly, how they construct the islands. We will also see the making of their artisanal boats from totora reeds. Guests have the option to take a 20-minute additional ride on these traditional totora reed boats. Next, we continue to the Island of Amantani, where a local family will welcome us with a typical lunch. In the afternoon, we will walk to the ceremonial center, visiting the Pachata and Pachamama temples. Dinner will be served, and if the weather allows, we will participate in a local show. This visit provides a chance to learn about local customs and live alongside the inhabitants, offering an immersive experience where we are participants rather than observers. Guests will have the opportunity to stay in local homes, enjoying a truly authentic cultural experience. Overnight: Amantani Island.

Day 7:

EXPERIENTIAL EXPERIENCE – LAKE TITICACA Amantani Taquile-THE SHARING

TAQUILE: We will begin our excursion heading towards the island of Taquile. We will take a short 35-minute walk. Approximately (flexible), we will learn about its history, its customs and enjoy a delicious lunch with a view of the lake. We will have time to visit its traditional stone arches, and finally we return to the city of Puno. Our vehicle will take us to the hotel.

Day 8:

FAREWELL TO THE CITY (Airport Transfer)

Our stay and experience are over; it’s time to return home. At the indicated time, we will be approaching the Juliaca airport (2 hours before your flight). Here, we say goodbye to the team and begin our journey, where the services end and we warmly say “see you soon” for a new adventure with the magic of Peru.
